Obituary For Barbara Jeanne Cottier

Barbara Cottier “Barb”, 80 of Rapid City, passed away on August 31, 2018 at Rapid City Regional Hospice House in Rapid City.

Barb was born in Sundance, WY on May 19, 1938 and was adopted by James and Ruth Davidson. She was their only child. She graduated from high school in 1956 in Laramie, Wyoming. Barb’s first marriage was to Eugene Gregory where she was blessed with 3 children Keith, Dana, and Larry. Barb’s second marriage was to Joe LaHoe and from this marriage she was blessed with 2 more children Ruth and Duane, her final marriage was to Lee Cottier and from this marriage she was blessed with 2 more children Sammie and Clover. Grandma Barb also raised some of her grandchildren James, Xonda, Clete, Nicholaus “Nikki” and Tresten. Barb worked at Coleman Jewelry for many years before moving onto Walmart where she retired. Barb was an avid animal lover and had a huge heart for taking in stray animals and will be greatly missed by her four legged friends.

Barb is survived by her 7 children Keith, Dana, Larry, Ruth, Duane, Sammie and Clover, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Nicholaus “Nikki” LaHoe.
