Obituary For Betty Ann Bondora

Betty Ann Bondora, 96, Rapid City, died Saturday January 4, 2020 at Avantara Mountain View. She was born April 26, 1923 to Ernest (Arnie) and Olga (Pearson) Severson in Brandon, SD. She grew up in Brandon receiving her education and graduating from Brandon High School in 1942. Following high school Betty began employment at Sioux Steel in Sioux Falls, SD. Betty and George met at the Arkota Ballroom in Sioux Falls. George was attending Radio Navigation School at the Airbase. They dated and were married on January 12, 1946. Betty’s whole life revolved around her family. She was the most supportive, lovingly generous person anyone would ever wish for in a mother. We were all blessed to have been gifted with her. She lives on in all of us always. Betty is survived by three sons, Richard Bondora, Wax, KY; George (Laurie) Bondora, Upton, WY; Duane (Vickie) Bondora, Broomfield, CO; one daughter, Sheree (Dennis) Bernal, Rapid City, SD; 10 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one brother John Severson, Sioux Falls, SD. She is preceded in death by her husband George Bondora Sr., her infant son Dennis, her mother Olga (1966) and father Arnie (1968), siblings Loretta (Lollie) O’Neal (1989), Myron ‘Mike’ Severson (1998), Edith Hall (2001), Edna O’Neal (2003), Russell Severson (2006), Norman Severson (2013), Mildred ‘Millie’ O’Neal (2014), Howard Severson (2016) and Norma Matthies (2019).
