Obituary For Cameron Nicholas Murphy

Cameron N. Murphy, 19, of Rapid City, died Sunday, May 13, 2018. He was born January 1, 1999 in Winona, MN, the son of Tricia Vollmer and Nicholas Murphy. He attended Central High School and graduated in 2017.

Cameron was a car and motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed fishing, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. Cameron was a lover of life and enjoyed the simple act of being kind, without reservation or judgement, to anyone he met.

Survivors include his mother Tricia Vollmer and her husband Jeremy Vollmer, Rapid City; father Nicholas Murphy, Winona; brothers Sam Vollmer, Rapid City; Alex Vollmer, Andrew Vollmer (Kaila Vollmer), Mankato; Ty Vollmer, and Taran Vollmer, Rapid City.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at the Mother Butler Center.

There will be calling hours for friends and family Thursday at the Mother Butler Center from 5-7 PM followed by a wake service.

Pallbearers include: Alex, Andrew, Ty, and Taran Vollmer, Erik Petry, Wanbli Rooks, Kobe Bradford, and Dylan Gimbel

Honorary Pallbearers include: Sam Vollmer and close family and friends
