Obituary For Carol Jeannie Hatten

Carol “Jeanie” Hatten/Young, born March 6, 1945, in Rosebud, SD, age 78, from Rapid City, SD, gained her wings and started her journey on October 29, 2023, in Denver, Colorado.

Our family is grateful to know that Carol is finally at peace.

Carol loved to travel, loved driving through the Black Hills. Carol was a traveler by heart and visited numerous states across America. She also lived in California, Colorado, and South Dakota, just to name a few. Carol was known by many in the community, and across the USA. She has numerous degrees and training in many different occupations.

Carol is survived by children Alexander Hall of California, Kay Kay Hall of Hill City, SD, Darrell Young of Sioux Falls, SD, Frankie Young of Rapid City, SD, her sisters, Marion One Star of Rosebud, SD, Irene “Skip” Young of Valentine, NE, Clara Peterson of Colorado Springs, CO, Mary Gobell of Burbank, SD, Paulette Anderburg of Sioux Falls, SD, brothers, Larry Young of Rapid City, SD, Woodrow Young of Rapid City, SD, Victor Young of Parmelee, SD and Bernard Young of Parmelee, SD; and her cousin Sylvester “Buddy” Young. and numerous grandchildren, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Carol was preceded in death by her mother Cordelia Roubideaux; father Simon Young; brothers Darrell Young, Marvin Young, Richard Young, Lenard Young, Jerry Young and her sisters Charlene Young, many close friends and relatives.

Our family is grateful to know that Carol is finally at peace.
