Obituary For Carol L Prichard

Carol Lenore Prichard, 68, passed away on August 20, 2022 in Rapid City, SD. Carol was born in Philip, SD to Ramona and Kenneth Buchholz on January 04, 1954. She attended high school in Philip. Carol set the high school high jump record in 1971 and it still stands today. After high school she married Cleve Prichard, and to this union they were blessed with two children, Michelle and Monty. Carol spent lots of time with her children, animals, and gardening. She could always be found cheering on her kids in the sporting events that they participated in. After her divorce from Cleve, Carol continued to operate the Wanblee Corner Store for a number of years. Carol was always supporting the community, whether it was youth athletics or local teams in the community. Carol enjoyed fishing, sewing, and cooking in her spare time. Carol spent the remainder of her retirement in Rapid City until her passing. While living in Rapid City she enjoyed making rugs for anyone who wanted one. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed spending time outside as much as possible. Carol was surrounded with family and friends when she passed. She is survived by her two children, Michelle (Kevin Bowman); Monty (Michelle Hagen-Prichard); grandchildren Kahlor, Alyssa Jo, Murielle, Mason, and Merreck; one sister Karen Chapman; and one brother William (Bill) Buchholz. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Ramona and Kenneth Buchholz and three brothers John Buchholz, Steve Buchholz, and David Buchholz. We would like to thank all the family and friends for their thoughts and prayers.
