Obituary For Charles Albert Blakley

Charles Albert Blakley, of Rapid City, passed away on June 25, 2020 in Rapid City, SD. He was born March 18, 1930 in Curtis, Arkansas to Oscar and Susie May Blakley. He worked as a rancher in the Belle Fourche area, and he was a cook at Bob’s Café. He became a meat cutter for Safeway and eventually retired, working in Belle Fourche and Rapid City. He was a hunter and fisherman. He loved to pan for gold and cast a fishing line. He was known to tell many a joke and caused much laughter whenever he was around. In his 90 years of life, he married three beautiful women. Ruth Anderson and they had three girls, Linda, Patty, and Sally. Dorothy Sinclair where he helped raise Stuart, Robert, Ruby, Randy, and Toni and his wife of 34 years Laurel Dunlap inheriting another large family with Anglela, Carla, Daniel, Loran, and Babette. Each of these families provided numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Alvin and Clifford Blakley, and sister, Maxine Blakley. Left to miss him are his wife Laurel, his dog “Rampage”, children Linda Triplett (Tim); Patricia Henry (Tim); Sally Graham; Stuart Sinclair (Karen), Toni Taijeron (Joe), Angela Morgan (Martin), Loran Herstein (Carol), Carla Tenold (Les), Johnny Primeau, Randy Brunnsen, numerous great and grandchildren, family and friends.
