Obituary For Cherri L. Thomas

Cherri L. Thomas, 64, of Rapid City, South Dakota, passed away on October 8th, 2024, at 1:27 am surrounded by family and friends.

Cherri Thomas was born in Rapid City, SD, to Dennis and Iva (Ramich) Thomas on August 27th, 1960. She married Thomas Jobes in 1984 in San Bernardino, CA, and had four children Connie, Harrison, Dennis, and Susie.

Cherri loved spending time with her family and friends. She also loved playing board games. One of her favorite games was Bingo. She was a long-time member of Bethel Assembly of God and Open Bible Church. Some more of the things that she loved were coming into church with a big smile, giving lots of hugs to everyone around her, and helping anyone she could.

Cherri is survived by Thomas Jobes; her children Connie (Lance) Bodden, Harrison (Karen) Jobes, Dennis Jobes, and Susie Jobes; grandchildren Holly, Tristan, Jade, Samuel, Payton, Colton, Rhett, Preston, Alan, Jase, and Rocky; siblings Anthony (Lynn) Thomas, Cindy (David) Clausen, Cynthia (Dwight) Cain, Sandra Stewart, and Carrie (Lyle) Lange; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Cherri was preceded in death by her parents Dennis Thomas and Iva (John) Tipton, her long-term boyfriend Steve Boardman and his children Dirk and Jake, and her grandson Justin.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 15th, 2024, at 11:00 am at Open Bible Church, 2225 East Saint Patrick St., Rapid City, SD 57703 with Pastor Brian McDaniel officiating.

Please no black clothing as per Cherri’s wishes. She wanted it to be as colorful as she was.
