Obituary For Cleo Carol Jorgensen

Cleo Jorgensen, at the age of 62, went home to be with the Lord on July 21st, 2018, following a long battle with cancer.

Cleo was born in Bismarck, ND. She married the love of her life, Alan in 1973. In 1986, Cleo’s life changed when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Cleo and Alan were active in the children\'s ministry at First Assembly of God in Fargo, ND. She was especially grateful for the spiritual guidance provided by Wanda Rothwell and Pastor Curt. Cleo remained strong in her faith and was blessed to see her children and grandchildren also come to the Lord. In 2001, while raising her family, Cleo earned a degree in Health Information Management from Northwest Tech in Moorhead, MN. After accepting a position with Regional Hospital in Rapid City, she and Alan moved to the Black Hills. Cleo was a devoted wife and mother, and especially loved being a grandma. She supported her family in any way possible and loved attending her grand-children\'s activities. She also enjoyed sewing, hiking, and “happy crappy family game nights”.

Cleo will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, Alan, their children, Lee (Sarah), Dennis (Shawna), Carol (Jonathan) Wood, and her five grandchildren. She will also be fondly remembered by her mother, Fran Leingang, her sisters, Arlene, Jan, Sandy, Linda, and Nancy, her mother-in-law Ada Jorgensen, and numerous family and friends. Cleo is preceded in death by her father, Leo and her father-in-law Arden.

The family wishes to especially thank Cleo’s friends and coworkers at Regional Hospital for their support and friendship and the doctors and nurses at the Regional Cancer Care Institute.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Regional Health Foundation, PO Box 6000, Rapid City, SD 57709 or online at regionalhealth.org would be appreciated
