Obituary For Clinton Alvin Halverson
Clinton Alvin Halverson, of Spearfish, SD passed away in the evening hours after a nice snowfall on March 25th, 2024 at the Hospice House in Rapid City after a six-month battle with cancer. Clinton was born October 4, 1950, in Moose Lake, MN to Alvin and Katherine Halverson. He attended elementary school in Bruno, MN, and later graduated in 1968 from Paynesville High School. He married Sandra Skold and had 1 son. They later divorced and he married Sue Larson. Clinton worked many jobs over the years in Minnesota and South Dakota. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making jewelry in his free time.
Clinton is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Roger Bahnson, sisters Sharon Wagner and Doris Schaefer and brothers-in-law Richard Stanley and Jerry Heikke. Clinton is survived by his son, Jason (Amy) Halverson, Albertville, MN; sisters Judy Stanley, Rapid City, SD, Mar Jean Heikke, Henderson, NV, and sister-in-law, Linda Bahnson, Ashby, MN; grandsons Joshua and Jacob, Albertville, MN; and many nieces, nephews.
