Obituary For Coe Wilbur Foss

Coe Wilbur Foss, 65, of Rapid City, SD, passed away on September 12, 2017 from Pulmonary Fibrosis.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on September 16 2017 at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home, 632 St. Francis Street, Rapid City, SD.

Coe was born in Madison, SD on August 31st, 1952 to his parents Wilbur Foss and Caroline Foss. He graduated from Watertown, SD High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor’s of Forestry Degree from the University of Montana in Missoula.

Coe was married to Donna Williams on October 28, 1984.

Coe had a passion for the outdoors, wildlife and the mountains and he loved his 40 year career with South Dakota State Forestry. He retired in 2014 as the Forest Health Program Administrator. He enjoyed reading, cooking, fishing, hunting and camping with his wife Donna and his many friends.

Coe loved connecting with people and he had a way of making people feel special with his humor, his interest and his twinkling eyes.

Coe is survived by his wife Donna, his sisters Ann Foss, Kim Foss, and Polly Foss (Laura), Donna’s parents, her brothers and sisters and their spouses, and many, many nieces and nephews that adored him.
