Obituary For Danny Beale Taylor
Dan Taylor, of Rapid City, died at his home on January 24, 2021. He was born in Danville, Virginia, to Marie (Newcomb) and Herman Berkley Taylor, Sr. As a “military brat” his early years were spent exploring the world with his family. Dan served in the U.S. Air Force and lived most of his adult life in Rapid City, South Dakota. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Hailey (Ferguson) and Arthur B Newcomb and Ada Lee (Ferguson) and James M. Taylor, as well as numerous aunts and uncles. He is survived by his sons, Jamie of Rapid City and Chad of Florida; a stepdaughter, Danelle Levi of Rapid City, and one granddaughter Jailyn of Rapid City. Also surviving are his sister Gladys M. Davis residing in New Jersey, and brothers Herman B. Taylor, Dana L Taylor and Wayne R. Taylor all residing North Carolina; an uncle, Robert L. Newcomb in Virginia and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. No services are planned in Rapid City. A family memorial service and internment will take place at the Taylor Family Cemetery in Paces, Halifax County, Virginia. Condolences may be sent to the family via the Behrens-Wilson website.
