Deanna Lynn Sweet, 77, of Rapid City, SD passed away on March 24, 2021 in Rapid City. Deanna was born in Alliance, Nebraska to Oscar and Florence Curtis on Jan. 12, 1944. She graduated from Thedford High School in Thedford, Nebraska. She married Benjamin Sweet on Nov. 5, 1961 in Thedford, NE. Deanna is survived by her daughter Sharilyn Sweet of Rapid City, sisters Garnette Jameson, Sandra Graham, Penny Geiser and Elaine Wild, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Deanna was preceded in death by her mother Florence Curtis, her father Oscar Curtis, her son Curtis Todd Sweet and her husband Benjamin Sweet. Her body has been donated to the University of South Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, per her wishes.
