Debra (Deb) Joyce Cristan was born on September 2, 1953, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Gemma (Yob) and Angelo Cristan, passed away at age 64 on March 10, 2018, at her home in Rapid City, South Dakota. Deb grew up in Mequon, Wisconsin, graduating from Homestead High School. She was the owner and massage therapist at Guided Touch Massage in Rapid City, South Dakota. Deb is survived by her twin sister Sandra M. Gannon (Ted), her sister Suzanne L. Cristan, niece Jessica Frantal (Michael) and nephew Scott Gannon (Melissa). She also leaves behind her beloved kitties Willow and Hope.

Deb was loved, respected, and cherished by so many people both in her professional and personal life.

As a massage therapist, Reiki Master, and intuitive she had a great passion for helping others heal their body, mind, and spirit. As a friend she was loving, understanding, and loyal beyond measure. She had a gift of always seeing the good in people and encouraged others to see through the eyes of love.

The Black Hills outdoor lifestyle gave her many years of great joy. Hiking, camping, and kayaking with her friends were some of her favorite activities. Especially full moon paddles on Pactola Reservoir.

She was a great lover of animals of all kinds.

Under Deb’s soft-spoken, gentle demeanor lied a fiercely independent, incredibly strong, and tenacious woman. Deb was always the first to volunteer to help a friend in need no matter the situation or challenge. Deb was a woman of strong conviction who stayed true to her beliefs and heart until the very end.

Her too soon departure has left an immeasurable void in our lives. But the love, the lessons, the joy, and the laughter she shared with us all will remain in our hearts forever.

Friends and family are welcome to attend the memorial service on Saturday, March 17, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at On Common Ground, 610 St. Francis St., Rapid City, SD 57701. In lieu of flowers, donations in Deb\'s name to Humane Society of the Black Hills; The Nature Conservancy of South Dakota; or Cancer Crackdown are welcome and appreciated.
