Obituary For Dona M. Cheney

Dona M Cheney (96), of Rapid City, passed away on July 27th in Rapid City.

Dona was born in Sioux Falls SD on 12-31-1926. She married Ward Cheney, the love of her life, in June 1948, in Sioux Falls. She graduated from Washington High School in Sioux Falls. She was proud to have worked tirelessly raising seven children. She was also very active in her church, the First Congregational Church of Rapid City.

Dona is survived by her children, Ward,Jr.(Cathy) of Sand Springs, OK, Cam Miller (Harold) of Rapid City, SD, Jamie Holbrook (Dave) of Rapid City, SD, Scot (Debbie) of Oklahoma City, OK, Sky of Garland, TX, twins Leslie Mullins of Owasso, OK and Lana Brodersen (Brodie) of Fremont, NE, and nephew David Grethen of Hermosa Beach, CA. Dona also has 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Dona was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ward Cheney, sister in law Mary Grethen, son in law Ken Mullins and six siblings.

Memorials may be given to Habitat for Humanity.
