Obituary For Donna M. Anderson

Donna Marie Anderson was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world on May 30, 2023 at age 81.

She was born to Nelson and Jesse (Jumping Eagle) Hendricks on June 26, 1941 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She attended Holy Rosary Mission in Pine Ridge, South Dakota and Highland High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

On October 18, 1963, Donna married her husband, Albert Anderson, in Rapid City, South Dakota where they continued to reside to raise their family of five children.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Oliver and Maime Jumping Eagle; her brothers, Dennis, Robert, Thomas and Nelson Hendricks; her sisters, Fern Baylock, Barbara Ann Winslow and Maxine Hendricks.

She is survived by her husband; her sons, Chris (Joleen), Erik and Luther Anderson; her daughters, Dana Anderson and Tally (Jeremy) Wentz; her grandchildren, Dylan Anderson, William, Wyatt and Hannah Wentz; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m., Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home, Rapid City followed by a wake service and Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 5, 2023 at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, Rapid City followed by interment at Black Hills National Cemetery.
