Obituary For Donna M. Prue

Donna Mae Prue, 58, of Rapid City, passed away on August 14, 2023, in Rapid City, SD.

Donna was born in Pine Ridge, SD to Beverly War Bonnet Prue and Robert G. Prue on August 31, 1964. Donna went to Todd County High School in Mission, SD. After she graduated from high school, she went on to do 2 years of college.

Donna worked as a CNA in her younger years. She was also an assistant manager at Conoco in Baken Park. She later went on to work at SCI as a computer board assembler, which took her to Guadalajara, Mexico. After SCI, she became a CO at CAB. After a while of working as a CO, she decided to take it easy and started to work as a cashier at many stores and casinos.

Donna made a lot of friends in the casinos. You could find her there playing a machine and having a cold beer. She loved to fish and walking around Canyon Lake Park, but most of all she loved going to her mom’s house and spending time there. She enjoyed picnics and BBQs with her family. Donna had many dogs throughout her years, but in the end she loved her “cat”.

Donna loved her family and lifelong companion, Michelle, unconditionally, as well as her friends.

Anytime you needed a good laugh or a shoulder to cry on, she would always be there.

Donna loved good company and a lot of laughs!

She will always and forever be loved and missed!!

Hard to believe, she was so young. I worked with Donna at SCI. I went to Guadalajara with her. We had some good times down there. Was scary being a week after 911. But it was an experience I will never forget. Rest easy Donna. Prayers for the family. - Posted by Brenda Rankin on August 20, 2023
