Donna Sedivy was born to Elmer and Gertrude (Gubin) Nilsson at Bath, South Dakota on October 2, 1931. She graduated from Bath High School and from Black Hills State College at Spearfish, South Dakota; then taught school for eleven years in Brown County and in Pennington County, and later worked for Bell Telephone Company.

Many winters were spent in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, until they found the perfect little Eden in Boulder Park near Deadwood, SD. Among survivors are three children, Beverly, Brian, and Douglas.

She was preceded in death by her soul-mate Fred Sedivy, daughter, Bonnie, and her grandson Chad.
