Obituary For Edward Arnold Reber

Edward Arnold Reber, 69, of Rapid City passed away at home on Sunday, September 24, 2017 in Rapid City surrounded by his loved ones. Edward was born in Rapid City to Robert and Josephine Reber on July 7, 1948. He went to school at Rapid City Central. He married his high school sweetheart Connie Veland on July 7, 1969. He started working for his Uncle Claude at Ace Radiator starting in the late 60s and then purchased the shop in 1972 where he worked until he retired. He also went into partnership with his family to purchase Triple R Bar in 1978 and sold it in 1987. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served in the Army. Edward is survived by his wife Connie Reber, son Chad Reber and Nancy, daughter Sherri Robertson and Tom; siblings Robert Reber Jr and Karen, Nancy Hibbard and Owen, Judy Bierwagen and Eugene; his mother Josephine Reber; grandchildren Travis, Amanda, Kali and Ty; great grandchild Elleona Reber and her mother Katey Riley; special friends Marvin and Connie Brooks and Dennis Masteler. He was preceded in death by his father Robert R. Reber. Ed enjoyed cars and racing. He and his brother raced at Black Hills Speedway in the 60s and 70s then revisited it in the early 90s. He would enjoy taking drives with his wife in their 41 Studebaker and the 55 Chevy. Ed loved life and even more he loved his family. He always made himself available to his grandkids, nieces and nephews. He had made numerous friends in his 69 years and many he stayed in contact with. Ed will be missed and remembered always.
