Obituary For Elizabeth Ann Blue Legs

Elizabeth Ann Blue Legs, 68, passed away September 11, 2021 in Rapid City, SD. She was born December 19th, 1952 in Jackson County, SD to Rebecca Thunderhawk-Blue Legs and Bert Blue Legs. She had a passion for education and learning and went on to earn multiple degrees. Elizabeth was a force to be reckoned with, she was kind, smart and brave. She had two beautiful daughters whom she loved unconditionally. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially her grandchildren. She had a big heart and loved helping others. She was a teacher, a counselor, someone you could lean on. Despite hard times, she always saw the humor and beauty of it all. She lived her life to fullest.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Gainey of Lincoln, NE; her partner, Elliot Salway of Rapid City; two brothers, Verlyn and Curtis Blue Legs; grandchildren Qianna and Tariq Blue Legs of Rapid City, and Tiana and Tyriq Gainey of Vidalia, GA; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Thunderhawk-Blue Legs, and her father, Bert Blue Legs; her daughter, Fawn Blue Legs; and her sister, Norma Blue Legs.
