Obituary For Elizabeth C Bolton
Elizabeth Carville Bolton was born on October 7, 1922 in North Ireland. She was one of eight children born to Thomas and Annie Adam. Elizabeth went to London, England to study nursing. This is where she met her husband, Eugene Bolton of Rapid City, South Dakota. She came to America in 1946 with her young daughter, Marie. She loved Rapid City, with many hopes for a happy new life. In 1953, she went to work as a nursing assistant at Ellsworth Air Force Base Hospital. She loved her work for over 20 years. She was proud to have received Superior and Outstanding awards. In 1954, she was able to purchase a home for her family. She was always ready to help friends who needed rides to doctor appointments, shopping or church. She was in Al-Anon for many years to learn to live “One Day at a Time”. She was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Elizabeth is survived by her 4 children, Marie Guest and family of Portland, OR, Gene (LaVeen) Bolton and family of Rapid City, Colleen Mason and family of Rapid City, and Lynn (Garry) Sogge and family of Black Hawk. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
