Obituary For Esther Juanita Conner
Esther Juanita ‘Nita’ Conner, 88, Rapid City, died Monday, July 27, 2020 at Fairmont Grand Manor. She was born April 4, 1932 in Damascus, Arkansas to William Franklin and Minnie Ellis (Byrd) Mahan. She married Robert ‘Bob’ Conner on December 31, 1953 in Missouri and they were happily married for 66 years. Nita spent a portion of her life in healthcare, which she had a passion for even until her passing she ‘thought’ she was still in healthcare. She really enjoyed giving haircuts. Nita and Bob loved to play cribbage and cards along with their old Milwaukee and they enjoyed dancing at the Moose. She is survived by her husband Robert ‘Bob’ Conner, their children, daughter, Sheila (Bob) and their children Chad (Leslee), Jeremy (Amy), Amber (Adam); daughter Shelley (David) and their children, Shawna (Dennis) and Sheena; son, Bob Jr (Melinda) and their daughter Amber; her very special sister-in-law Inez; several great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Nita is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers and sisters.
