Gary Aubrey Lester, 81, Rapid City, died July 9, 2019, at Rapid City Regional Hospital. He was born in Reliance, SD on February 7, 1938 to Aubrey and Tessie (Berg) Lester. He graduated from Interior High School. Gary married Rose Marie O’Rourke in Pierre, SD on February 9, 1957. She preceded him in death. He worked for Black Hills Packing until retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and antiquing. Gary is survived by his son Craig Lester (Tracy Mitchell), Rapid City; three daughters, Monica (Jon) Whirlwind Horse, Manderson; Rena Lester, Rapid City; Dahna (David) Allard, Rapid City and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Tessie Lester, his wife of 55 years Rose Marie, his daughter Tamela Lester, three grandchildren and three brothers.
