Obituary For Gary K Wasson

Gary K Wasson, 82, of Rapid City, SD has joined our heavenly Father on September 14, 2022 in Rapid City, SD.

Gary K Wasson was born in Lock Haven, PA to Hilaire and Myrtle (Stover) Wasson on December 9, 1939. He went to school in Lancaster, PA. Gary married Carol Wasson (Forney) on July 8, 1961 in Lancaster, PA. He graduated from Stevens Trade School as a Mason. He was a great craftsman as a Mason working for himself and then for Singer Masonry, a member of the Bricklayers Union. He was involved in the Boy Scouts as a Scout Leader, horse club, billiards league, dart league, bowling, wrestling, and enjoyed most, spending time with his children and family.

Gary K Wasson is survived by his ex-wife, Carol Wasson of Rapid City, SD, 2 sons John M Wasson of Rapid City, SD, James K Wasson (Julie) of WA, 4 daughters Cheryl Evans (Brian), of Rapid City, SD, Michelle Shoemaker (Randy) of Idaho, Sandy Schwarz (Jack) of WI, Sally Strobel (Chad) of Rapid City, SD, 8 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren, his sister Hilaine Carter of PA, half brother Corky Wasson of PA and half sister, Sharon Homan of PA.

Gary K Wasson was preceded in death by Hilaire Wasson (Father) of PA, Florence Stecker (Step-mother ) of PA, Myrtle Wasson (Stover) Mother of FL and Craig Wasson (Brother) of MI.
