Obituary For Gary Wayne Lengkeek
Gary Wayne Lengkeek, 73, Rapid City, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Gary Wayne Lengkeek was born on July 2, 1945 in Brookings, SD to William and Helen Lengkeek. He graduated from Blunt High School in 1963 and 2 years of business school in Rapid City.
He served as a mechanic in the civil service for 25 years. He also had a car dealership in Rapid City and worked at Laundry World following his retirement.
He married Ruth Schmierbach on February 18, 1989.
Gary is survived by his wife, Ruth; his brother Billy (Sharon) Lengkeek; sisters, Marilyn (Mike) Allen, Peggy (dean) Kelley; Janet (Don) Doorn; Barbara (Dan) VanEkeren and Keith (Kathy) Lengkeek and many nieces and nephews; his step-children, Shelley (Paul) Bereford, Glenda (Mark) Conrad, Renae (brent) Ennis, Alan Wiseman, Brent Wiseman, Craig (Ranale) Wiseman; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Linda Grass and Cheryl Beck and brother-in-law Daryl Beck and his grandsons Kevin Conrad and Johnny Palmer.
