Obituary For Gerald Corwin Greenlee

Gerald C. ‘Jerrry’ Greenlee, 85, Rapid City, passed away on January 6, 2020 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Jerry was born on June 29th, 1934 in Dayton, Ohio to Charles and Geraldine (Caldwell) Greenlee. Jerry graduated from Fremont High School in Fremont, Nebraska in 1952. He later moved to Rapid City, South Dakota where he worked in the Carpentry field until his retirement at the age of 55. Jerry married Marline ‘Marti’ Weishaar on June 6, 1995 in Rapid City. Jerry and Marti enjoyed travelling in their motorhome and 5th wheels for 25 or so years following his retirement. They finally decided, after spending 17 (winter) years in Casa Grande, Arizona to come back home to Rapid City. He resided at Westhills Village. Jerry enjoyed travelling, visiting with friends, playing bingo, golfing, reading books of history and being around family. Jerry is survived by his wife, Marti; children, Linda Kear (Donny), Florence, Colorado, Patti Greenlee (Larry), Windsor, Colorado; step daughter, Dawn Braband (Mark), Laguna Niguel, California; grandchildren, Sara Canterbury (Montana), JD Kear, Michael Kear, Andrea Knighton, Megan Gallegos (Dan), Evan Gallegos, Ashley Rosenhain (Jeff), Ben Braband (Jennifer), Zach Braband (Emily) and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by hos sons, Michael and Christopher, his parents, Charles and Geraldine Greenlee and his brother, Charles Greenlee.
