Obituary For Gerda Ilse Hauber

Gerda Ilse Hauber, 91, of Thale, Germany, passed away on May 31st 2020 in Belle Fouche, SD. Gerda Ilse Hauber was born in Thale, Germany to Ida Stredecke and Richard Stredecke on February 10th 1929. She married Lothar Guenther Hauber on November 9th, 1957. She worked as a secretary for Squibb for about 10 years. Throughout the years, Lothar’s job took him and Gerda throughout the world. They lived in Saudi Arabia for many years, but they’ve also been fortunate enough to travel to other countries such as Kenya, Greece, Thailand and China. After her husband’s death, Gerda resided in Roseburg, Oregon where she lived until 2004, when she moved to South Dakota to live with her daughter and her family until her death. Gerda is survived by her daughter Michele Ramona Sanchez and her two grandchildren Christopher Robert Sanchez and Jessica Lynn Paravati. Gerda is preceded in death by her husband Lothar on January 12th, 1995.

The Family of Gerda wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Rolling Hills Health facility for their wonderful care of Gerda in her final months and to all her friends and loved ones for the love and support they’ve given us throughout our time of need.
