Obituary For Helen Mae Biley

Helen Mae (Becker) Biley, 94, was called to Heaven on August 30, 2019 in Rapid City, SD. Helen was born the only child of William (Bill) Becker and Maude (Stoll) Becker on April 21, 1925. She attended Agar High School for 3 years and graduated from Onida High School in 1943. After graduation Helen moved to Rapid City where she attended the Black Hills Business College and worked as a telephone operator. She met the love of her life (Virgil Alonza Biley) through a phone call he was making to someone else but he really liked the sound of Helen’s voice. They were married on February 14, 1948. At that time they moved back to the farm where they raised their 2 daughters. Helen was a farmer’s daughter, then a farmer’s wife, she worked beside Virgil until he passed away in April 2007. She then moved to Rapid City to be with her daughters and their families. In 2015 Helen moved to the Fountain Springs Healthcare Facility where she spent her final days.

Survivors include - 2 daughters: Patty (Chuck) Jager and Betty (Francis) Shafer; 4 grandsons: John Jager (Tamara Reed), Kevin (Keli) Jager, Cory (Danielle) Shafer and Chris Shafer; 5 great grandchildren: Klayson, Kamara and Karis Jager, Brock and Addyson Shafer. Tamara Reed’s 2 daughters: Daphne and Grace Reed.
