Hilda Martin (79), of Rapid City, passed away on June 6, 2019 in Las Vegas, NV.

Hilda was born near McLaughlin, SD to Art and Clara Goetz on December 29, 1939. She went to school in McLaughlin and graduated from McLaughlin High School in 1957. She attended the National College of Business in Rapid City and worked as a bookkeeper for Northwestern Engineering until 1971. She loved people and worked as a waitress for many years in Rapid City and Las Vegas until her retirement.

Hilda loved to cook and was happiest when her house was full of family and friends. She was famous for her enormous Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners where she would serve anyone that needed a place to spend the holiday. She loved her entire family and traveled to spend time with them as often as she could.

Hilda is survived by her daughters Kelly Martin (Jeff Turner), Kathy Kimley (Dan), Kimberly Martin Korth (Dean) and Kerri Martin. Grandchildren Ken Nelson, Sean Nelson, Keith Martin (Jessica Holt), Krista Bahley (Jared), Nathaniel Johnson, Alex Korth, and Matthew Martin (Grace Miller): Great Grandchildren, Gavin Risley, Kendra Cummings, Cameron Wandler, Ava Grace Bahley, Braden Martin, Eddy, Phillip, and Hazel Johnson, Sean Alan Nelson II and Micah Nelson; her brothers and sisters Harold Goetz, Howard Goetz (Diane), Betty Mincey (Dennis), Richard Goetz, Rita Kuck (Wayne Schwan), Linda Jayne, Sharon Jenkins, Terry Goetz and sister-in-law Collette Goetz.

Hilda was preceded in death by her daughter Kendra, her parents Art and Clara Goetz, and her brother Roger Goetz.
