Obituary For Jean L. Decker

Jean Lorraine Decker, 76, of Rapid City, SD passed away on March 20, 2023, at Avantara Mountain View Retirement Home in Rapid City, SD. Jean was born on October 13, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pa. and spent most of her childhood years in that area. She was united in marriage to Jerry L. Decker on November 7, 1968. As an Air Force wife Jean lived in many parts of the country and several years in Germany. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and enjoyed taking care of others for many years. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, flower arrangement and she especially loved camping in the Black Hills.

Grateful for sharing her life are her two children, Gordon Decker of Black Hawk, SD, Lisa (Michael) Reilly of Roseville, MN, sister Janet Covington of Grand Forks, ND and grandchildren Jacob Decker, Lee Decker, Tristen Reilly and Olivia Reilly. Jean was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

    So sorry to hear of Jean's passing. She was my cousin and we grew up in Philadelphia, Pa. Glad Lou and I got to visit with her and Jerry in Rapid City. And that they were able to visit us in Florida. Always enjoyed when we could talk on the phone. Now you are with the Angels and in no more pain. I love you.
