Obituary For Joe A Prochaska
Joseph A. Prochaska, 95, died March 3, 2015 in Louisville, Ky. He was born in Belvidere, South Dakota where he attended school and graduated from high school.Joe was a proud World War II Veteran. He was a NCO with the 48th Tank Battalion, 14th Armored Division. He was among the veterans on the Honor Flight that visited the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.He married Darlene Carstensen, December 31, 1948. They had two children, Vaye Jean Whitaker and Verle J. Prochaska.Joe is survived by his daughter, Vaye (Sanford) Whitaker; four grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, his wife Darlene and his son Verle J. Prochaska.
