Obituary For Jonathan Samuel Crutcher

On January 17, 2009, our precious little man, Jonathan Samuel Crutcher, went to be with our Lord and Savior. He departed this world as the result of a single vehicle accident in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Jonathan was born on April 03, 1990 in Butte, Montana. He was a precious gift to his parents Michael and Sharyl Crutcher from the start. His contagious smile and sweet handsome face was all it took to fall in love with him. Jonathan graduated from New Underwood High School in May 2008. He attended the Douglas School District from 4th grade to 10th grade. He attended schools in Watford City, North Dakota from grades K through 3rd. Jonathan’s biggest passion in life from the age of 5 was to be active in Tae Kwon Do. When he and his parents relocated to Rapid City in 1999 he was able to fulfill that passion through the Bright Path Tae Kwon Do club under the leadership of Bob and Deb Richmond and Maurice Skates. He was a natural. He obtained his third degree black belt in 2006. He became a student instructor who had a special talent with the kids. All he could talk about after each class was those children. Jonathan’s other hobbies included writing poems; drawing; playing the trumpet and piano; playing video games; and just hanging out with his friends. Jonathan was a member of the First Congregational Church, Rapid City, SD. On February 04, 2008 Jonathan and Kalsey presented a precious gift to his family – his daughter Clara. Jonathan’s face would just light up when someone mentioned his daughter or when he was around her. She was and is a special part of his life. Surviving family members and friends include: his parents Michael and Sharyl Crutcher, New Underwood, SD; his grandparents Jack and Shirley Crutcher, Monticello, Indiana; his aunts and uncles: Michael McAllister of Box Elder, SD; Charlotte (Crutcher) Young, Jacquie (Crutcher) and Donald Wright all of Monticello, Indiana ; his cousins: Misty Bertram, Rhett Bertram, and Camryn Mermer all of Monticello, Indiana; his great grandmother Oleva Mae Crutcher, Trenton, Missouri; his great aunts and uncles : Nadine Terry, Gladstone, Missouri; Loretta and Richard Wawrzyniak, Nicholasville, Kentucky; his daughter Clara Jean Kay Brinkman, Rapid City, SD; his special love Kalsey Brinkman, Rapid City, SD; his extended family: Betty Fritz, Kandra and her family, Karen and her family, and Kandis, David and Hope all of Rapid City, SD; his dear friends Joseph, Daniel, Tommie, and Greg Tank, Keene, North Dakota; and his best buddies Health Zakrzewski, New Underwood, SD and Matt Tschetter, Box Elder, SD.
