Obituary For Joseph D. Buxton
Joseph Daniel Buxton left us too soon, passing August 1, 2024 at his home in Rapid City, South Dakota where he lived with his beautiful lady Karen Dorton. Joey was born in Roseburg, Oregon to Dannie and Evelyn Buxton on July 5, 1971. Joey grew up around family in Sutherlin, Oregon. While growing up in his young years he moved around frequently, of which one place was Northeastern Washington where Joe found his first love FISHING, he caught many walleye and brought them home for dinner. Joe and his family found their forever home in Missoula, Montana when Joe was 9 years old, Joe continued his love of fishing starting with the Clark Fork and Blackfoot Rivers later moving over to the Madison, Jefferson and Gallatin Rivers, bringing home lots of fish. He also loved music and played it on his guitars. He introduced his sisters, brother, nieces and nephews to music. He had a love of writing his stories, and doodling. He enjoyed skipping rocks with his Montana Dad Tary Ueland, and going hunting, camping, and talking about sports. He lived near Sturgis, SD where he enjoyed seeing many motorcycles every year.
He leaves behind his dog Maverick, many friends, his favorite lady love Karen Dorton and family, His parents Tary and Evelyn Ueland, son Dillan, brother Robert Buxton and his wife Jodi and family, sisters Rebecca Cole husband Doug and family, Amanda Rahmer and family, Sue Bourne husband Rob and family, Tricia Simms husband Bob and family.
He is Preceded in death by Grandparents Russell and Alice Cooper, Jim and Betty Mathies, father Dannie Joe Buxton, uncles James Mathies, Jeff Mathies, Leland Cooper, Arne Ueland and brother-in-law Jason Rahmer
