Joyce Elaine McCoy, Rapid City, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at the age of 72. She was born in Igloo, SD on November 18, 1950, to Grant and Beatrice ‘Bea’ McCoy. They later moved to Rapid City, SD where Joyce lived until she died. Joyce graduated from Rapid City Public Schools in 1970.

Joyce worked for several years for SCI and after that she worked at the Civic Center in Rapid City until she retired. Joyce loved to take walks on the nearby bike trails. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Joyce will be greeted in Heaven by her parents, sister Shirley Beick, niece Amanda Beick, uncles Lyle Blare, Alvin Simmons, Earl Simmons, Jack Johnson, and aunt Isabella Blare.

She is survived by her siblings Jim (Alice) McCoy of Rapid City, and Frank (Kay) McCoy of Novato, CA, her three children Tricia (John) Mielke of Winthrop, MN, Paul (Jenny) McCoy of Rapid City, and Stacie McCoy of Corpus Christi, TX, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by Uncle Linn and Aunt Doreen McCoy, Aunt Elda Johnson, Uncle Vernon and Aunt Donna Simmons, Uncle Elmer and Aunt Sharon Simmons, Uncle Walter, and Aunt Lucy Simmons, Aunt Judy Simmons and many more relatives.

Joyce will be greatly missed by all her family!
