Obituary For Karleen J Whitney
Karleen June Whitney, 94, of Rapid City, South Dakota passed away on September 19, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida.
Karleen was born in Aurora, South Dakota to Dona Kinyon and Martin Sexton on June 11,1930. She went to school in Mitchell, South Dakota.
She married Charles Whitney on March 21, 1953 in Mitchell, South Dakota. She worked as a waitress for Howard Johnson’s for 3 years and then CP Clare for 3 years.
Karleen is survived by Sharon Swanson, Evelyn Cumberworth, Linda Bell, Judy Branum and Diana Sandusky, 20 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.
Karleen is preceded in death by son Gary, husband Charles, daughter Joyce and 3 grandchildren.
