Obituary For Kenneth Paul Samson

Kenneth Paul Samson “Kenny”, age 59, passed away on September 7, 2017 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD due to complications from surgery.

Kenny was born April 1, 1958 to Betty Lou Samson (Lynde) and Kenneth Duane Samson in Gillette, WY. For those of you who knew Kenny, you knew of his loves, passions, joys and pain, and most of all, his stories. Kenny\'s life followed many roads; he did rodeo; was an exceptional welder; a great dancer and served his country with honor and pride in the United States Army. He embraced all genres of music. In particular, old time county and blues. Kenny remains larger than life in spirit to those lives he touched.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Barbara L. Samson of Piedmont, SD; Step-son, Joshua M. Twomey of Rapid City; Grandson, Isaiah J. Twomey of Spearfish, SD; Granddaughter, Faythe E. Baxter of Buena Vista, CO; Son, Levi Samson of Bakersfield, CA; Daughter and grandson, Bandi Samson of of Luco, OK; Sister, Tonya Piedmonte of Hilton Head, SC; Step-mother, Denis Samson; siblings, Kendra, Steve, Shane, and Shannon Samson of Kingman, AZ, and a fondness for his cousins Carmen, Steve, Donnie and Deanne as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and his dearest sister, Karene.
