Lavern Clifford Andersen, 83, died Thursday, June 20, 2006 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.He was born August 18, 1922 in Minneapolis, MN to Axel and Mabel (Stevens) Andersen. He grew up in Minneapolis where he graduated from high school.He entered the US Army on March 27, 1943 and served during WW II. He was honorably discharged on February 21, 1946. Upon his discharge, he returned to Minneapolis and attended college.He later moved to the Black Hills area where he has remained since.He loved photography and was an author of many manuscripts.He is survived by a niece, Karen Rogers, Gig Harbor, WA and a nephew Steven Dahl, Cleveland, OH.He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Geraldine (Andersen) Dahl.
