Obituary For Lori Lee Sharp

Lori Lee Sharp, age 54, of Hill City South Dakota, passed away on July 18th, 2024, in Rapid City South Dakota.

Lori was born in Minneapolis Minnesota to James Arthur Abrahamson and Donna Faye Abrahamson on January 1st, 1970. She went to school at Ham Lake Elementary, Rosevelt Middle School, and then graduated from Blaine Senior High School in 1988. Later, she further studied at Portland Community College in the state of Oregon for accounting. Lori married David James Sharp on July 9th, 1988, at Saint Timothy’s Church in Blaine Minnesota. Lori had dated David since she was 16, and she married him a month after graduating from high school when she was 18. Lori shared a wonderful marriage with David full of love and blessings for 38 years, up until her journey to the heavens.

Lori pioneered from Minnesota across the United States with her husband David and settled on the West Coast in Portland Oregon in 1989. Lori was a nurturing full-time mother of two girls, full of kindness and Lori always shared her positive outlook on life with others. She built a business with her husband David and worked as the accountant of Lake Oswego Transmission in Lake Oswego Oregon for 5 years, until they exited the industry to pave a path for a new journey together.

Lori continued to pioneer with her husband David to Hill City South Dakota, a peaceful small town full of culture. Lori loved ice skating, water skiing, snow skiing, gardening, cooking and painting. She loved embracing Native American culture within her roots and her spirituality. Lori also loved her family endlessly.

Lori is survived by spouse David James Sharp, daughters Crystal Faye Sharp and Cassandra Lee Sharp, parent James Arthur Abrahamson and stepmother Carole Hasse, and brother Pete Abrahamson. Lori is preceded in death by her mother Donna Faye Abrahamson.

The family of Lori Sharp wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Al-Shbool and his medical team for ensuring her last days were in comfort and compassionate care. We also wish sincere thanks and love to the remaining family and friends of Lori Sharp, who made sure Lori felt loved throughout her life. Lori is an angel at peace, and she will be in our hearts forever.
