Obituary For Marina Jomae Surratt

Marina J Surratt, 63 of Rapid City, SD died on Saturday, July 10, 2021. She was born on April 7, 1958 to Joe and Ruby (McFarland) Poole. Marina passed away after a long health battle that was fought valiantly. She fought this mostly in silence. She was preceded in death by both parents and the love of her life, Mark Surratt. She was a great mother, an even better grandparent and great grandparent. She had a kind soul, that at times, cost her dearly. She was a brave woman who always provided for her family. Marina was a friend to all who knew her and truly adored her ‘baby girl’ Destiny Thomas. She passed with dignity and will be deeply missed. She is survived by two sons, Dave (Carla) Smith (St Charles, Mo) and Jesse (Samantha) Surratt (Hermosa, SD) as well as her grandchildren, two brothers and sister: Joel (Susan) Poole, Roger Poole, and Mary (Bill) Kemper.
