Obituary For Marnetta Ethel Lockner

‘Marty’ Marnetta Ethel Lockner, 75, Rapid City, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at her home in Rapid City.

She was born March 10, 1943 in Badger, SD to Victor and Mabel(Anderson) Carman.

Marty was a 52 year resident of Rapid City where she enjoyed her life and spending time with family and friends. She was an active member for decades of a neighborhood birthday club where she built many friendships.

Marty was a very compassionate and giving person who never knew a stranger. She worked as a caregiver with clients of the Senior Companion program for over 8 years.

Marty was a cashier at Ace Hardware for many years and spent her last 17 years sharing her life with her faithful companion, a Chihuahua named Bambi.

Marty is survived by 2 sons, Keith (Sandy) Lockner, Todd Lockner; 4 grandchildren, 2 bonus grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter and a sister, Rita (Boyd) Swenson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Joe and Ronnie Carman.
