Obituary For Nancy Ann Jackson

NANCY ANN JACKSON May 12, 1935 to June 6, 2020 Nancy Ann Jackson left this world peacefully on June 6, 2020 at the Hospice House in Rapid City, South Dakota. She was born on May 12, 1935, to Willie and Lydia Reiman in Ainsworth, Nebraska. She grew up on a large dairy farm near Ainsworth and developed a very strong work ethic early in life. She believed that one should do for themselves but always be there to help and support anyone who needed encouragement or a helping hand. Nancy was a small-town girl at heart and spent most of her life in Ainsworth. She married Robert Jackson, the love of her life, on May 1, 1959. Nancy and Robert were soul-mates for more than 50 years and depended upon and supported each other throughout their life together. Family was the center of Nancy’s world. She instilled a strong but loving, German work ethic in her three children and was always there to support them. She was a faithful caregiver for elder family members and many others in the community. She did this unassumingly and with a compassionate devotion. Education was important to Nancy and while she was unable to complete her formal education, she shared the importance of learning with her children, grandchildren and others, and was always supportive of their educational endeavors. Nancy’s high school class recognized her dedication to life-long learning and presented her with an honorary diploma during their 25th reunion. Nancy was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ and the Ainsworth Rebecca’s Lodge. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, brother Alfred and sister Marilyn. She is survived by her children Robert, Jr. (Diana), Fay (Donald) Ludens, Kathy (Donald) Mosier; grandchildren Megan, Nicole (Nick), Kayla (Dakota), Rachel, Adrian (Crissy), Heidi (Marcus); great-grandchildren Hailey, Beckett, Emily, Finley, Taylor, Ashley, Victor, Maddy, Lincoln and Zoey; sister Cora (Leslie) Koss, sister-in-law Nellie Johnson.
