Obituary For Nicole Janene Weiss

Nicole Janene Weiss, 30, of Rapid City, passed away peacefully at home on October 10th, 2022.

Nicole was born in Rapid City, SD, on March 5, 1992, to Constance “Connie” and William “Bill” Weiss. She graduated Sturgis Brown High School in 2010, and then studied Art at BHSU in Spearfish. On October 18, 2020, Nicole married her high school sweetheart, David Rhoades. Nicole was a long-time employee at Menards, then switched career paths and worked in maintenance for Thies & Talle property management.

Nicole had a passion for art, hiking, traveling, and new adventures. She was a woman of strength, courageousness, and positivity. Everyone that knew Nicole enjoyed her company and her beautiful smile. Nicole had so many notable traits; she was an amazing wife, friend, and was always willing to help others out.

Nicole is survived by her husband David, her parents Connie Weiss (Glenn Becker) of Rapid City and Bill (Krystal) Weiss of Sturgis, In-laws Kathleen McKnight and Marissa Rhoades, her siblings, Joyce Gordon, Danelle Ellingboe of Minnesota, Houston (Kari) Weiss of Belle Fourche, Gabrielle, Emma, Chase, Jadyn, Brennan Weiss of Sturgis, her nieces and nephews Alexis Anderson, Leelan, Roslyn, Axel, Samuel, and Benjamin Weiss of Belle Fourche, Ayden and Aubree Sirignano of Rapid City, and Elizabeth Blomberg of Wisconsin, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Nicole was preceded in death by her grandparents William and Myrna Pokorney, Dennis and Jean Weiss, Uncle Rick Pokorney, Aunt Darla Larson, and her eldest brother Brandon Weiss.
