Obituary For Patricia L. Ausman

Patricia (Pat or Patti) Louise Ausman, 75, of Rapid City, South Dakota passed away on November 9, 2024 in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Pat was born in Rapid City, South Dakota to Robert T. Hamlin and Barbara J. (Price) Hamlin, on April 16, 1949. Due to her father's job, Pat attended school in South Dakota, North Dakota, and California. She graduated from Norte Vista High School in Riverside, California. Pat attended Riverside Community College. Pat met her husband, Larry, in Riverside, California and they were married on July 20, 1968 at the First Congregational Church in Rapid City, South Dakota. They lived in California for many years, but returned to Rapid City in 1985 and they opened Prime Time Video.

Following this business adventure, Pat worked for several medical facilities and an insurance company.

Survivors include her daughter, Angela Ausman, Rapid City, her granddaughter, Meghan Maas, Washington, her grandson, Max Maas, Rapid City, her sister-in-law, Debbie Ausman-Haskins, California, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews, and the many people who were blessed enough to have crossed her life's path. Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Ausman, her parents, and her brother, Ronald Hamlin.

The family of Patricia Ausman wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff of Avantara North and to Stillwater Hospice.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7 pm on Friday, November 15th at Behrens Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, November 16th at First Congregational Church with the Reverend Erin Erickson officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Lawn Memorial Park.
