Obituary For Peggy A. Red Leaf

Peggy Ann Red Leaf, a loving mother, grandma, sister and aunt made her journey to the spirit world on July 4th, 2021. Peggy was born on December 4th, 1946 to Vivian and Steven Red Leaf in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. She later moved to Rapid City where she would meet the fathers of her 2 children, Mark Red Leaf Sr and Jerry High Bear Sr. She started a career at the Indian Health Services where she worked her way to being a social worker. She then devoted herself to her work for over 40 years. Peggy was loved and respected by many for her devotion, kind heart, integrity and strength. Peggy was known to offer help when it was needed and was a very dependable woman. She was very family oriented and would often put others before herself. Peggy loved to spend time with her grandkids and great grandkids, always ensuring the little ones in her life were nurtured and loved. Peggy was devoted to her faith often praying for others and applying the Lord’s teachings in her daily life. Peggy loved to watch the sunset and loved to watch the clouds and would often find comfort in the beauty of nature. Peggy was preceded in death by her son Mark Red Leaf Sr, mother Vivian Red Leaf and father Steven Red Leaf, siblings Linda Hern, Joyce Red Leaf-Farnham, Dennis Red Leaf, Ray Red Leaf, and nephew Thomas Red Leaf and Steven Red Leaf, and other relatives and angel babies waiting for her with open arms. She is survived by her son Jerry High Bear, daughter in law Tina Vermillion, grandsons Mark Red Leaf Jr, Jerry High Bear Jr, Jadon High Bear, and Caius High Bear, granddaughters Natasha Red Leaf, Malia High Bear, Summer Red Leaf and Majesta High Bear, great granddaughters Ruby Red Leaf, Vivian Red Leaf, Luna-Marki Red Leaf, Alayah Red Leaf, Mariuanna Arpan and Aubrey Arpan, siblings Dale (Jaunita) Red Leaf, Gerald(Glenda) Red Leaf, Michael(Priscilla) Red Leaf, Don Red Leaf, Mary Red Leaf, Eddie(Trina) Red Leaf, Dean Red Leaf, Joe(Rose) Red Leaf, and Gwen Red Leaf, along with many nephews and nieces.
