Obituary For Ralph Carroll Marshall

Ralph Marshall 82, born on December 8th, 1936 went in peace on February 15, 2019.

He was the son of the late Carroll and Dorthy Marshall. He was an avid NASCAR Fan of Mark Martin and a VERY loyal Denver Broncos fan. He loved music, especially the older country westerns. One of his favorite hobbies was fixing things, especially cars. He will be remembered for his big hands, as well as his smile and his appetite for food. He had a heart of gold. He was a hard worker who worked for Robbinsdale Lumber Yard for many years, then went on to work at Merillat where he retired. He loved to be with his beloved Shirley, sit on the front porch on a beautiful day and people watch. They enjoyed having bbq‘s with friends and family. Ralph also enjoyed traveling with Shirley to places he has never been before. They went to Alaska, all the way down to Florida. They were together like hands in a glove. He and his late wife, Roberta moved up here to Rapid City, South Dakota from Runnells, Iowa with their 3 children, Robin Marshall (Jim N), Roger Marshall (Lisa Marshall), and Ronda Terry (Waymon). Together they had 8 grandkids, and 10 great grandkids. Although Shirley and Ralph didn’t have any kids together, he did however considered her kids to be his kids. He loved them as if they were his own; Sherri Brown (Tim); Sheila Haskins (Steve); Mark Swenson and Richard Mayer. They shared 10 grandkids as well as 8 great grand kids.

He is survived by his brother Robert Marshall of Iowa. He is preceded in death by his wife Roberta Marshall, his granddaughter Denise Marshall, and his parents Carroll and Dorthy Marshall. Please send any donations to Shirley Gold at 301 E St Francis Street, Rapid City, SD 57701.
