Obituary For Randy L Saunders

Randy L. Saunders, 61, died October 23, 2022 at Monument Health, Rapid City following a brief, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born January 14, 1961 in Sheridan, WY to Keith and Jean (Reel) Saunders. At a young age, the family moved to Rapid City where he attended Knollwood Elementary School, North Junior High and graduated from Central High School in 1979. He then attended South Dakota School of Mines and Technology graduating with an Electrical Engineering degree in 1983.

Randy began working for SymCom after graduating from the School of Mines, until starting his own business, OEM Solutions, in 1999.

Randy married Peggy Ronshaugen, June 12, 1981 in Rapid City. They have two children, a son, Nathan, born in 1987 and a daughter, Brenna, born in 1991. He was a member of Marvel Mountain Church (formerly Black Hills Fellowship) for 26 years where he served as a longtime Elder and was always great support for the acting pastor.

He dedicated his life to the Lord in 1979 and loved the Lord and his family with all of his heart.

Randy was an accomplished racquetball player and crossfit participant where he competed in numerous tournaments.

Randy is survived by his wife of 41 years, Peggy; son, Nathan (fiancée Valerie Gallegos); daughter, Brenna (Travis) Clemenger; a grandson, Julian and a brother, Steve Saunders.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
