He was very proud to work for the Hospital, to work with his co-workers (Jolene) and all med records staff, and for all the many patients he cared for. He always gave his Heart and Soul. (This Obituary would be very long if all important people in Rich's life were listed: Please know, you are not forgotten!)
He was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. He was a sacristan. He loved this job. However, he had a heart attack and bypass surgery in January 2009. Since then, as other illnesses began to present themselves, prevented him from doing the many jobs and hobbies he dearly loved for many years.
He also is survived through his love of all the Benedictine communities he lived with, as well as all Benedictines throughout the world. Especially Sister Phoebe Schwartze OSB of Sacred Heart Monastery, Dickinson, North Dakota.
Donations made will be divided with: Assumption Abbey, Richardton, ND, Sacred Heart Monastery, ND, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Saint Joseph Parish Center, Rapid City, SD.
