Obituary For Richard Small
Richard Donald Small, 67, passed away unexpectedly on December 12 at his home near Piedmont.
Richard was born in Sibley, Iowa to Kenneth D. Small Sr and Lenora Small on March 19, 1951. He attended school in Sibley and later graduated from United Electronics in West Des Moines, IA. He married Marjorie Siefkin on March 24, 1973 in Lake Park, IA. He worked as an electronic technician and owned his own business (Small’s Typewriter Sales and Service). When he decided to retire, he worked part time for Service Master.
Richard enjoyed being a scout master when his children were young. He loved his kids and grandkids. He spent his spare time watching T.V., playing games on his tablet, and fixing anything that was broken. He was very proud of his garden and his roses.
Richard is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marjorie; Sons, Matthew Kyle Small (Dawn) and grandson Kyle, Michael Kurtis Small (Heidi) and grandchildren, Adeline, Leo, and Ian; Daughter Rebecca DeeAnn Henwood (Clifford) and grandchildren, Cody and James; Sister Jennie Hofkamp.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Sr. and Lenora Small; Brother, Kenneth Small Jr. and grandson, Ian Small.
