Obituary For Roberta 'Bobbie' Schreiber

The Angels swooped down and took our beloved mother Roberta ‘Bobbie’ Schreiber. Bobbie passed away Sunday April 9, 2011 at the Hospice House in Colorado Springs, CO of natural causes. Bobbie was born July 22, 1936 to Charles and Iola (Sherman) Wolken in New Underwood. She was raised on the family ranch in New Underwood. She attended and graduated with her nursing degree in MN and went on to receive a n LPN license. She returned to SD to raise her family and worked in the nursing field for several years. Bobbie enjoyed gardening, knitting, reading, traveling and riding motorcycles with her children. After retiring she lived with her son Paul and Irina, who cared for her for numerous years in Peyton, CO. We are extremely thankful for all the loving care that they provided. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Iola Wolken, Rapid City; one brother, John ‘Walker’ Wolken, Rapid City and a stillborn son, Jon Schreiber born in MN. She is survived by her children, Carl Schreiber, Reno, NV; Royce Schreiber, Black Forest, CO; Jean and Bruce Conger, Piedmont, SD; Paul and Irina Schreiber, Peyton, CO and Donna and Daniel Kivi, Rapid City; 4 granddaughters, 1 grandson; 5 great-granddaughters; 1 great-grandson; 1 brother Charles Wolken and his wife Joyce, New Underwood and numerous nieces and nephews.
