Obituary For Robin LaRue Pendo

Robin LaRue Pendo, 67, passed away at her home on July 25, 2023. She was born on May 27, 1956 to LaRue Robinson. She was an only child and formed a very strong connection with her mother. They were very close until LaRue passed when Robin was 18. That connection stayed strong with Robin her entire life.

On July 21, 1986, Robin married George “Gus” Pendo. They spent an amazing 32 years together. Her step-son, Joseph, would often come over and was taught about etiquette and joy , fun and wonder in all moments from Robin! She loved working in her garden and using all she grew to cook with. She enjoyed cooking for her family and was amazing at it. She put so much love into her meals, to the extent of hand-placing each slice of apple into a pie. There were often “flavor explosions” when you enjoyed a meal with Robin!

Robin had a huge love for animals, she always had a dog or cat (or many of them) to keep the household busy! Among her favorites were Kitter, Cody, Poncho, Stanley, and “GG”. She loved to say that GG stood for Good Girl. She also loved traveling and going to concerts with friends, managing to go to many out-of-state concerts, just for the fun of it! She felt music very deeply…almost as deeply as how strongly she loved. The people in her life that she showered that love on will surely miss that feeling.

Robin was preceded in death by her mother and her beloved husband, Gus. She is survived by her bonus son, Joseph

Robin and Gus were two of my dearest friends. I met Robin when she was 15 and instantly fell in love with her unique spirit. I had been best friends with Gus since grade school. God's speed Robin. You will be missed. - Posted by Daryl Miglia on August 17, 2023
