Obituary For Roger D. Grundstrom

Roger Darrell Grundstrom, 88, of Hot Springs, SD passed away on December 4, 2023, at Monument Health in Rapid City. Roger was born on February 25, 1935, In St. Louis, MN, to Henry Louis and Nellie Marie (Turpen) Grundstrom.

Roger was a veteran serving in the Air Force from 1955-1959. He was stationed in Otis, MA, where he met the love of his life, Lois Gleason at a roller-skating rink. They were married 66 years. She preceded him in death by 6 months. He was a ham radio operator – W7LFB. Running also was a big part of his life for many years. He rode motorcycles for over 65 years, first with Lois and then with his brother, David.

Roger is survived by his daughter Bonny (Bob) Workman of Rapid City; brother, David of Rapid City and sister, Lola of Otis MA. He also had another brother, Donald Lee, who passed shortly after birth.

Per his wishes he was cremated, and no services will be held.
